As I pursue my MLIS this blog has documented my thoughts from classes and interesting articles I've found, but now it will follow me as I learn about digitization. My project is to digitize 19th centuary pamphlets that will become part of a "virtual reading room". So here it goes...

It seems like any kind of database has a table; does that mean that any sort of table is a database? For example, if I drew a table on paper with some data on it is it a database? Or what about something like a color wheel?
