HTML Basic. This is an interesting site that explains the basics very simplistically. I like that they show you the actual HTML examples and how they look on a webpage while explaining the elements and attributes that make it up. It makes HTML very simple. I especially find the formatting interesting.
The cheat sheet has a lot of the information found in the HTML basic page. I think it would be a useful tool if I was writing a webpage! It is interesting to see all of the little tags that make up a webpage.
CSS is a little more complicated. It seems useful, but I'm not sure I understand how it is external. It sounds like the external CSS can be used for multiple pages and an internal one is used for a single page.
Beyond HTML. This article shows how useful a CMS is. The college I work at uses this and it is helpful that all the libguides are similar. I cannot imagine each librarian being forced to make their own with no training. This would make them extremely difficult to use. The CMS really levels the playing field for people that don't know how to write in HTML. I liked this article because it is a real life example of an issue libraries have. Thanks GSU for sharing!
